The title is New York Stories, so you would have certain expectations. It turns out, of the three sections, only Scorsese delivered something both New York-ish and interesting. Coppola New York-ish but plain boring. Allen interesting with nothing to do with New York. He only name-checked his home city. In his section he made it all about himself as he often does.
The music Allen used in this film he used it again in Magic in the Moonlight which is also a story about magic and psychic.

3个故事中映像最深的莫过第一则《生命课堂》,可能当时我内心比较惆怅的关系,或者因为这个故事让我想起了自己。
面对逝去的爱情我们需要尽力去夺回,这是人之本能,如同电影中那大叔对于那小女友。但是他自己心里也很明白,重新唤起一个人心中的爱是有多难。即使自己在社会上有多么呼风唤雨,但是爱已不在,人是很难背叛自己的感情的,即使行动上没有,但在她的内心始终还会保持那种冲动。如果他女友依然留下陪在他身边,那更多的是处于怜悯而不是出于爱意。作为一个男人是受不了这种怜悯的。
弃我心者昨日之日不可留,乱我心者今日之日多烦忧。既然已经逝去就不需要多思虑,坚定得朝前走吧。
